Let the Music Speak – Barber and Beethoven in Celebration with the Yonkers Philharmonic

Come join the Yonkers Philharmonic as we present Beethoven’s Piano No. 3, Op. 37 in C minor with pianist, Hao Dong Wu and Symphony No. 2 Op. 36 in D major.  These pieces are dedicated to Maestro James Sadewhite in recognition of his contribution to the success and growth of the Yonkers Philharmonic during his tenure as Conductor and Music Director.

The program will open with Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings in honor of Kurt Masur, who was a mentor and huge influence on our current conductor, Tong Chen, helping her to become a better conductor as well as a better human being to the world we live in.
