Approaching the Elephant: Film by Amanda Wilder

The film Approaching the Elephant, is a documentary focusing on the Free School in New Jersey, where all classes are voluntary and are determined by vote- adults and children have an equal say. Two students Jiovanni, a mop-haired rebel whose antics push him towards suspension, and Lucy, an emotionally volatile kid who has trouble with bullies and teacher alike, become the protagonists of this documentary.
