Veterans in Focus:  A Josephine Herrick Project Exhibition

December 8-23, 2017

Opening Reception:  December 8th from 5-7 pm

A small exhibition of recent photographic works done by nine local area military veterans will take place at ArtsWestchester on December 8th and will go through to December 23rd.  A group of U.S. military veterans spanning nearly 50 years of service spent several weeks developing photography skills with two of ArtsWestchester’s teaching artists Karen Ann Sullivan and Joseph Squillante.  The veterans’ work will be exhibited at ArtsWestchester on the 9th floor gallery from the 8th-23rd of December.  An opening reception for the exhibition will be held on the 8th of December from 5-7 pm.  Refreshments and light servings will be made available along with a chance to meet the veteran photographers and their teachers.

About the Josephine Herrick Project
The Josephine Herrick Project is a nonprofit that enlists photographic community volunteers to educate students who have not had the opportunity to learn the communicative power of photography. Through partnerships with local organizations, JHProject’s completely free programs inspire children, teens, adults, veterans and seniors with the visual language of photography, enhancing their abilities to transform communities through artistic vision.
