Trio Zimbalist

Trio Zimbalist consists of virtuoso violinist Josef Spaček (former concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic who is well-known to New York audiences), cellist Timotheos Gavriilikis-Petrin and pianist George Xiaoun. Presented by the Curtis Institute of Music, they have been lauded for their “liveliness and vigor of playing and for performances that were “pure enjoyment.” The program will include the Piano Trio No. 39 in G Major by Josef Haydn, Bergerettes for Piano Trio by Bohuslav Martinů and the Piano Trio in A minor by Maurice Ravel. Note that the venue has been changed from a previous announcement. The concert will take place at Ossining High School, Ossining, N.Y.
