The Summer Jam @ Deck Africa

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, community leaders Queen Jacene, Dr. Mother Khoshhali, and the Fuller Family of Silk Flowers of Care Fuller Creations Studio, are coming together to host The Summer Jam 2026, a free community event dedicated to bringing families, entrepreneurs, artists, performers, and residents together in a positive and uplifting environment.

This exciting summer celebration will be hosted at DECK AFRICA, located at 303 Bedford Ave in Mount Vernon, and feature: Live Performances, music mix by Queen Jacene, Scratchmasta Jazzy G, and BAYBE KDL, Community Vendors, Food Vendors, Silk Flowers of Care Studio Open House, Wellness & Holistic Health Awareness, Family Activities, and Positive Community Vibes.

The Summer Jam 2026 is more than an event — it is a growing community initiative built on collaboration, creativity, wellness, entrepreneurship, and collective support. Organizers are actively inviting local businesses, community organizations, sponsors, performers, food vendors, volunteers, and supporters who believe in strengthening the community through positive programming.

Born and raised in Mount Vernon, New York, The Queen has dedicated decades to media, entertainment, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and community development through her award-winning production company Multi Dimensional Media (MDM- visitmdm.com).

Returning this year is Dr. Mother Khoshhali, (The Sadhana Tea House), Doctor of Integrative Holistic Health &  Wellness, with 50+ years of experience, and Producer/Host of Cable TV Program “Traditional Healing With Mother Nature.

Sandra and William Fuller, longtime Mount Vernon entrepreneurs and founders of the beloved Silk Flowers of Care Fuller Creations Studio, are opening their home and design studio once again for a day of fun and engagement.

Together, these dynamic community leaders are creating an experience rooted in community, culture, wellness, entrepreneurship, and legacy.
