The Mousetrap, Agatha Christie’s Mystery Masterpiece in Lyndhurst Mansion

The Mousetrap, Agatha Christie’s Mystery Masterpiece

in Lyndhurst Mansion

The longest running play on London’s West End comes to Lyndhurst Mansion. It’s murder…and spine-tinglingly fun when an eclectic group of strangers are stranded in a remote mansion (played by Lyndhurst Mansion) during a terrible snow storm. Sargent Trotter arrives to investigate a grisly crime that appears connected to someone there. The roads are blocked, the phone lines cut and then, MURDER! Who is the murderer in their midst? Of course, the mysterious guests all have their secrets. The Sergeant probes the background of everyone, and rattles a lot of skeletons. Will he find the murderer before another one is committed.

The Mousetrap will open March 16 and run through April 2, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 6:00 pm, with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors and $25 for children (16 and under – appropriate for age 13 and up) and available along with show times at www.Lyndhurst.org or by calling 888-71-TICKETS. Lyndhurst, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is a Gothic Revival masterpiece on the banks of the Hudson River in Tarrytown, NY at 635 South Broadway (Route 9).

Agatha Christie, the undisputed queen of crime, penned this fiendishly delightful, nerve-shredding whodunnit. A perfectly twisted web of a play, this mystery-thriller truly invented the rules of the genre. The Mousetrap is celebrating the 64th year of a record breaking London run during which over 26,000 performances have been given. It is quite simply a great piece of theatrical history and what better place to experience it than at Lyndhurst Mansion!
