Motown Records and Berry Gordy (Virtual)

Celebrate Black History Month with a captivating look at the legendary Motown record label, founded by Berry Gordy in 1959. Frustrated by earning little from his songwriting success with Lonely Teardrops, Gordy built a music empire that launched the careers of  icons like Diana Ross & the Supremes, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and The Jackson 5. The label played an important role in the racial integration of popular music achieving crossover success.
