Afghanistan Arts & Culture Day

Celebrate the diversity and beauty of Afghanistani culture with a family-friendly afternoon of music, dance, craft, painting, fashion and more! Guests can engage with hands-on henna, participate in arts and crafts workshops, shop with local vendors, experience the sounds of Afghanistan’s instruments, and learn from local experts about kite-making, pottery, carpet weaving and traditional dress. This year’s program features a special exhibition by award-winning Afghan miniaturist Shafiullah Shahdad as well as performances by master dambora musician, Ahmad Gholami.
