Improvise: A Night of Jazz & Art

Experience the energy and spontaneity of live improvised jazz as inspiration for your own creative expression. As musicians create in the moment inside our gallery, participants are invited to paint, draw, sketch or make mixed-media works in response to the evolving soundscape.

There are no rules, no expectations and no prior experience required. Simply listen, create and let the music guide your imagination.

Please Note: This is a self-guided creative experience. Art materials will not be provided and participants are asked to bring their own supplies.

Suggested Supplies: Charcoal, graphite pencils, colored pencils, gouache, watercolors, brushes, paper, sketchbooks, canvas and easels. Please do not bring oils or acrylic paints.

Tickets: $10 (non-members), $5 (ArtsW members)

Come for the art, stay for the fun! ArtsWestchester welcomes you to Gallery Night Out: Sip & Create, a monthly social for adults 18 and over in downtown White Plains. From February through December, a creative expert will lead guests through a hands-on art-making project designed to spark imagination.
