News Brief: ArtsWestchester Receives Folk and Traditional Arts Community Grant
ArtsWestchester was recently chosen to receive one of 27 grants from Mid Atlantic Arts. The $6,000 grant will support the organization’s Arts of House Ballroom, a four-part Pride program to be presented in 2024.
The 2023-2024 Folk and Traditional Arts Community Projects Grants program funds “projects designed to support the vitality of traditional arts and cultural communities in the mid-Atlantic region.” A panel of three folk and traditional artists/practitioners and/or folk and traditional arts professionals reviewed submissions and made recommendations, resulting in the announcement of announced $123,570 in grants.
The Folk and Traditional Arts Community Projects Grants program is made possible through the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts’ Regional Touring Program.
