Historic Hudson Valley (HHV) has announced ticket sales for its fall season, including its world-renowned Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze, for which tickets are now on sale. The organization also gave details about a new event featuring master illusionists.

As summer begins to wane, cultural offerings abound in Westchester. Before the fall festivals kick in, August is filled with programs that explore artistic traditions from Jamaica, Tanzania, Japan, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil and more.

Beginning this Friday, Upstate Art Weekend (UPAW) promises to bring some much needed sunshine to the region’s cultural landscape on July 21 to 24. Now in its fourth year, the annual event’s expansion to four days and more than 130 art venues across 10 counties is an opportunity to set out on a creative adventure—either across town or several counties—to discover the vibrancy of the Hudson Valley and Catskills.

Daily opportunities arise to use the arts as learning tools. For instance, ArtsWestchester’s Westchester Roots series provides the chance for children and adults alike to appreciate and experience cultural traditions that represent diverse populations living within Westchester. The series, consisting of free and affordable performances, takes place throughout the county. With presenting sponsor Montefiore Einstein, guests can travel the world without leaving Westchester.

The City of Yonkers will celebrate its burgeoning status as an arts destination on May 20 at the 9th annual Yonkers Arts Weekend (YAW). The event, which attracts upwards of 10,000 people each year, gives visitors an opportunity to experience the creative spirit that has transformed Yonkers over the years.

For the second summer, five renowned cultural arts organizations are collaborating to give Westchester residents and visitors a chance to experience the arts at a discounted rate.
