Westchester Choral Society always brings beautiful music to its audiences

The Westchester Choral Society—the longest continuously performing chorus in Westchester County—proudly serves as the chorus-in-residence for the Music Conservatory of Westchester. We value our partnership with the Conservatory, and we appreciate the opportunity to rehearse there every week.

We welcome singers in all voice sections. To schedule a singer-friendly audition, please see Numa Rousseve at one of our Tuesday evening rehearsals or contact him directly at (914) 285–9026.

If you’d prefer to experience the music from the audience, join us for our spring concert Sunday, May 19, at the Chapel at Maryknoll in Ossining, New York. The performance will include music of Schubert and Brahms, including Schubert’s Miriam’s Song of Triumph and Brahms’ Nänie. Visit www.westchesterchoralsociety.org for additional information about our chorus, the concert and how you can be a part of either or both.

About Westchester Choral Society

The award-winning Westchester Choral Society was founded by Sarah Stewart Bowne in 1942 to perform Bach’s B minor Mass with 15 singers. Today we are 55 singers performing works from Baroque to contemporary, presenting three concerts per season as well as Summer Sings and other musical events. Smaller ensembles are available for private and community performances. We welcome singers in all voice ranges to join us at a rehearsal before auditioning. We rehearse Tuesday evenings at the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains (handicapped accessible; free parking available; near public transportation). To arrange a trial membership, contact WCS President Numa Rousseve at 914-285-9026. The Westchester Choral Society is a proud member of Chorus America, the Vocal Area Network, and ArtsWestchester, which honored us in 2000 with its Arts Organization Award.
