River’s Edge Theatre Company presents “Riverside Haunts, Ep. II”

(More Scary Stories Based on Hudson Valley History)

“Riverside Haunts, Ep. II” is back for a second round of scary stories that seamlessly blend Hudson Valley history, creative fiction, and live music. The show will take place October 21st and 22nd at The Good Witch Coffee Bar in Hastings-on-Hudson, and October 23rd at Bethany Arts Community in Ossining. Showtimes are 7:30pm. Five ghosts share their spine-tingling stories about what it means to live and die by the Hudson River. This show is recommended for mature audiences only. All tickets are $25. 10% of ticket sales go to Riverkeeper.

The original “Riverside Haunts” had a successful run in October 2021 at the Good Witch Coffee Bar, so River’s Edge Theatre Company co-founders Meghan and David Covington decided to produce the show once more with all new stories based of infamous people and places in the lower Hudson Valley. The show’s musical accompaniment will again be provided by the spooky folk duo Joanna Levine and Jupiter Dune.

River’s Edge Theatre Company, a non-profit organization with the mission to reflect the human experience, spark conversation, and inspire social change, gives 10% of their ticket sales to other local non-profits who are making positive changes in the world. “Without the mighty Hudson River, we wouldn’t have all of this rich history to draw from,” says writer/director Meghan Covington. “That’s why we have decided to give proceeds to Riverkeeper, a great protector of the river we hold so dear.” Riverkeeper protects and restores the Hudson River from source to sea and safeguards drinking water supplies, through advocacy rooted in community partnerships, science and law.
