Did you know the Hudson Valley Writers Center has occupied the Philipse Manor RR Station ticket house since 1988?
Lovingly restored, this century-old building (listed on the National and State register of historic places) features dark, hardwood floors and walls, a rustic stone fireplace, and a large porch with gorgeous views of the Hudson River. In 2005, the Center received the Excellence in Historic Preservation Award from the Preservation League of New York State.
The HVWC offers rentals of our lovely space to individuals and local groups. Located on a quiet street, you and your guests can relax on the porch and watch as the boats dock and the trains pass. With air conditioning, internet access, a podium, microphone, tables, and chairs available, we can help make your next event one to remember.
The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center is a special space. Please call for exact pricing information based on the date and duration of your event. We offer reduced rental rates for nonprofits as well as authors and artists.
