Westchester Community Orchestra
About the Organization
The Westchester Community Orchestra was founded in 2009 by a group of amateur musicians wanting to create music with other like-minded people. We are a group of 70 musicians who play under the baton of a professional conductor and perform works found in the classical literature as well as more contemporary music and popular pieces. No auditions are required, however we have a waiting list for positions in the brass and woodwinds sections. We rehearse on alternate Monday nights at the Westchester Community for Ethical Culture in White Plains, NY. We perform four to six times annually at libraries, houses of worship and senior centers. Visit our website for more information.
