Artist Statement

Blues Hall Of Fame inductee, Roxy Perry has delivered highly acclaimed performances at clubs, concert halls, festivals throughout the U.S. and beyond for four decades. She has shared the bill with noted artists Rod Piazza, Shamekia Copeland, Leon Russell, Marcia Ball, John Mayall, Saphire, Hubert Sumlin, Gatemouth Brown, Koko Taylor, Taj Mahal, the Neville Brothers, Popa Chubby, Derek Trucks, The Black Crowes, Susan Tedeschi, Duke Robillard, and many more.  She has written and produced four highly acclaimed CDs of original music: HIGH HEEL BLUES [Monad Records],ROXY PERRY, NEW YORK BLUES QUEEN [Blueperry Hill Records.], BACK IN BLUESVILLE [BluePerry Hill Records], and IN MY SWEET TIME [BluePerry Hill Records].   From an early age, Roxy studied the music of classic Blues and Jazz artists who collectively influenced what has become her signature vocal style and harp playing. Her original music offers a full pallet of Blues from all eras and styles, making it a favorite among deejays and a diverse range of listeners.
