Artist Statement
Melanie has been a professional artist for the past 15 years, exhibiting in galleries in New York City and Westchester County. Her work ranges from POP images of women in the media to traditional commissioned portraiture. In addition, Melanie teaches at various art schools in N.Y., as well as privately. She holds an A.A.S. degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology and a BFA from Hunter College both in New York City.
