Artist Statement
The inspiration for all of my paintings comes from the excitement of seeing something very familiar in a new way. As an art director and designer for most of my life, strong design is the structure that underlies all of my work along with a passion for color, light, pattern and shadow. I love the excitement of the city and have recently done a series of Taxi paintings inspired by movement, color, weather, and the dynamic environment of the city.
Educational Background
I studied Design, Illustration and Advertising Design at Syracuse University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Since then I have taken classes in filmmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute, painting at Westchester Community College, Purchase College and Silvermine Art Guild, and pastel at Silvermine.
