Artist Statement

My grandmother first put a camera in my hands at the age of six and I have been in love with photography ever since. Curiosity and passion for new experiences keeps me from limiting my work as a photographer to one specialty. I shoot travel, lifestyle, portraits, food, nature, editorial, fine art, and stock photographs. Most recently, one of my photos was chosen for the Spring 2010 Person to Person show here at the ArtsWestchester Gallery. I have also shown work at the International Center for Photography (ICP student show 1989) and in student shows at WCC (2004, 2006). My work has been seen on several covers of Inside Chappaqua magazine, the front page of Trader Kids, the front page of the Sunday Travel section of the Cape Cod Times, and in several ads and articles in The WAG, as well as in about two dozen other publications and on various websites. Last year (2009), I assisted well-known food photographer Jonelle Weaver in LA on the just-released cookbook (Spring 2010) Giada at Home by Food Network celebrity chef Giada DeLaurentiis. In 2009 three of my photos won a contest sponsored by the prestigious Maine Media College and were published in the book Maine Frame Photo Contest.
