Artist Statement

I am a photographer, ceramist and writer. I have exhibited my work continuously since 1991 in various galleries and museums in the New York area including the Neuberger Museum in Purchase, NY; the Hammond Museum in North Salem, NY and New York City galleries like A.I.R. and 128 Rivington. As the Project Coordinator for the United Nations' sponsored "Common Ground World Project," I worked with sculptor Neil Tetkowski to collect earth from every country in the world to create the "World Mandala." It was exhibited at the UN in 2002 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Rio Earth Summit. As a writer, I have published art reviews in American magazines as well as international publications in Germany, Greece, Israel and Australia. As Director of the Clay Art Center from 1995-1997, I was responsible for curating shows and mounting exhibitions in the Centerâ??s art gallery, managing their educational program and studio space. Since 1997 I have worked from my studio in Pound Ridge, New York. I received my BA from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York.
