Artist Statement
After a career in animation and film graphics, Lewis is now using his extensive collection of vintage toys, printers, wood type, and household and industrial memorabilia to create sculpture that breathes new life into the discarded remnants of our shred history. His work has been exhibited throughout Westchester and Connecticut and he is a member of the Westport Art Center and Katonah Museum Artists Association groups. "Out of the Woods" won an Award of Excellence in the NWCA juried exhibition "Heaven & Earth". When not out 'junking', Lewis teaches animation and digital compositing at The School of Visual Arts and FIT in NYC.
