Artist Statement

JULIA BREANETTA SIMPSON  is a professional actress/singer who has performed throughout the nation at Regional, Dinner and Stock Theatres in such productions as Death Of A Salesman, Ain't Misbehavin', Dreamgirls, For Colored Girls . . ., One Mo' Time, Purlie and Tintypes. Julia originated the role of "Hennie" in the World Premiere of "When The Nightingale Sings.   She has recently been seen in her one-woman shows "Harlem On My Mind", "Julia and The Duke" and "How Sweet The Sound"  in New York City and throughout the Tri-State area in theatres, libraries and schools.   Julia created Breanetta Productions to inspire, educate and entertain audiences of all walks of life.   Julia's CD, "Here's To Life!" can be found @ cdbaby.com;  iTunes,  and Amazon.com. Julia's latest CD "Classy & Sassy: A Lena Horne Tribute" will be released October 2018.
