Artist Statement
I am a sculptor, a medallist, and a pediatric Occupational Therapist. I model in clay and cast in bronze. I also carve in wood and stone. Many pieces are figurative fragments representing universal themes. My medical background has influenced the form and themes of my work. Several pieces are in private and public collections including the British Museum, The American Numismatic Society, Helen Hayes Hospital, NY and Gaylord Hospital, CT. I have exhibited in numerous shows in the USA and abroad. I have won several awards including the gold medal for sculpture from the National Association of Women Artists.
