Artist Statement
Jirrell Abraham, also known as "JCA" (pronounced "jay-suh") is one half of "New City Franchise," a multimedia company co-founded by his uncle and Executive Producer, Travis P. Williamson, a.k.a. Rithem the Designer. JCA has been writing rhymes since he was fourteen. "It started out as a hobby, something I used as an outlet to express myself," he says. "I didn't take it seriously until I started performing my raps and battling other emcees in the streets. The reaction I got from my peers inspired me to advance with it." Born and raised in White Plains, JCA has been making music for nearly seven years. His lyricism and creativity have led friends, family, peers, and even strangers all across Westchester County to dub him a musical genius.
