Artist Statement

Harry Edgar Palacio is a straight male U.S born celebrity: numerous award winning author, fine artist & musician. He performed with Grammy winners and Grammy nominated artists; with Ari Up of the Slits, ‘godmothers of punk’ and La Gran Mawon, featured in Remezcla. Performed at September Fest, Peekskill, Dutchess County, Dominican Republic, NYC, & Paramount Theatre. He was included in an anthology featured in Remezcla; was a finalist for Fjords Review book competition, semi-finalist for Quartz Literary Fiction and Poetry, American Citizenship award recipient, Grand Prix winner Hudson Valley MOCA & St. George literary contest. Harry has two books published by Finishing Line Press, also published in Tule Review, Taint Taint Taint, Washington Square Review, Coffin Bell and elsewhere; he has a book forthcoming to be released by Atmosphere press. An award winning fine artist he exhibited at School of Visual Arts, Mt Kisco Arts Council, Peekskill Open Studios, Crossover XO, Hermosa, Robeson Gallery & H-Art Gallery. His art appears in International Voices, Photoclosing, Bellevue Review, and Personaland. Harry is an Ivy Leaguer; nephew of the Dominican Republic consulate. Harry has read 4,556 books in his lifetime. Top #26 reader in the United States of America; #49 reader globally as of 2022. He is a former WARY 88.1 college radio DJ; rock music director, an art teacher, astrologer, Reiki grandmaster, Ayurvedic doctor, international yoga teacher 200 RYT. Harry’s Guruji is Sri Dharma Mittra. He is second generation Osho lineage. Hāri meditated 123k minutes in his lifetime. He is a Yogic Guruji, Catholic Priest, Bikkhu, Pandit, Shaman & Rabbi. Harry Edgar Palacio obtained his Master’s of Education from Manhattanville University. Harry has earned certificates from The New School University, Parsons School of Design, Stanford University, Westchester Community College, Wesleyan University etc. He was assistant director of Manhattanville University social justice department &  music journalist; contributor for Popfadblog, Tom Tom Magazine etc. He is a BIPOC living with schizoaffective disorder.
