Artist Statement
Ms. Sloan won an award for an oil painting in a New York City Crafts Fair in August, 1992. In July of 1993, she participated in a juried exhibition at Mary Galleries of Westchester. In September of 2003, Ms. Sloan participated in the Plein-Air Paint-Out Art Auction at The Rye Arts Center in Rye, New York. Also in September 2003 she exhibited her work in The Rye Arts Center Group Show. In May/June 2006, her latest accomplishment was to be chosen to participate in the 2nd Annual Juried Show Art With Intent honoring the creativity of adult artists, hosted at Andrus-On-Hudson Community of Elders, in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
