Artist Statement

My Influences: Nigel Wingrove, who did covers of Cradle Of Filth's (heavy metal artists ) cd's, H.R. Gigger (designer of the Ailen, in the motion picture, Alien), Barbara Ess (Pin hole camera work, very spiritual and dream-like), and lastly, Floria Sigismondi. (photographer and directer of music videos of Christina Aguilera, Muse, Billy Talent, Interpol, The White Stripes , David Bowie, Sigur Rós, Sheryl Crow, The Cure, Björk, Amon Tobin, Marilyn Manson, Living Things and Incubus). About me: I was adopted from Chile when I was 8 months old, and was brought to my family in the suburbs of New York in 1982. When I found my mother's Honeywell pentex in her closet, it was love at first sight. This was going to be my vehicle to show people how I felt and how I imagined this world. From 1989 to present day I have made photography a lifestyle and means of communication.   Gallery Shows: 2001 â?? Tools (School of Visual Arts Gallery) â?? Group Show 2002 â??
