Artist Statement
Don Matthews III is an artist living along the Hudson River in NY. His style is best described as a mix of elements of commercial art through his interest in comic books, graphic design and films, combined with fine art fundamentals in color application, rendering of subject material, form, and composition. Ideas and concepts are generated from his interest in history, politics, science and science fiction. Don was born in 1981 and has been drawing since grade school. He focused on art in high school and majored in Graphic Design in college.Â
