The Untermyer Performing Arts Council is delighted to present The Guss Hayes Band at World Fest 2020 at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 12th  at Untermyer Park, 945 North Broadway in Yonkers.

Magical Irish music provided by County Clare native Guss Hayes and his band has been part of the fabric of the city of Yonkers and beyond for three decades, and not just during the month of March!    Not only does Guss sing like an angel, his commentary and wonderful, whimsical sense of humor will uplift all our spirits, something we all very much need.

Currently the house band at Empire City, the group has a repertoire sure to please everyone!  They play a variety of music, ranging from popular, contemporary to classic, Irish to American Songbook, music guaranteed to start your toes tapping and put a smile on your face.

UPAC’s mission was to foster and sponsor performing arts events at the historic Untermyer Park and other venues in Yonkers. UPAC is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization that relies on public grants and private donations. To ensure accessibility and welcome the broadest public audience, all UPAC events are free and open to everyone.

In addition to its popular free summer performance series at Untermyer Park, a new program entitled “UPAC on the Road” was recently launched, with support from Arts Westchester to reach new communities and partner with a variety of neighborhoods, businesses and community organizations.

Now celebrating its 39th year, UPAC continues to grow and seek new ways to serve the residents of Yonkers and the surrounding region. The motto of the Untermyer Performing Arts Council can be summed up with three “E’s”…enlighten, educate and entertain.
