NEXT SEASON ANNOUNCED THEATER AT LYNDHURST MANSION

Performances in the Grand Picture Gallery

 

  • Lyndhurst After Dark – The Darker Side of the Gilded Age
  • Private Lives a comedy by Noël Coward for November
  • Dickens Tells a Christmas Carol for December
  • Sherlock Holmes: The Final Problem for March

 

M&M Performing Arts Company will produce three full-length productions in the coming theater

season plus populate the mansion with actors set in the Gilded Age to tell the darker side of Victorian mourning traditions for Halloween, October 19 through 30.

 

The theater season is opening with Private Lives; a comedy by Noël Coward, running November 10 through 26, 2023. Private Lives is a gleaming gaze into a delightfully kooky couple by the acclaimed author of Blithe Spirit. Expect madcap mayhem in this fantastically, funny and furiously frenetic comedy.

 

Next up will be Mr. Dickens Tells a Christmas Carol recreating the famous performance tour by Charles Dickens in 1867 bringing the travails of Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim to life. Taken from the original script, actor Michael Muldoon plays Charles Dickens and tells the well-loved tale in the beautifully decorated Mansion, meeting the ghostly spirits and eccentric characters December 8 through 26, 2023.

 

March 1 through 24, 2024, M&M Performing Arts and Red Monkey Theater Group present Sherlock Holmes’ most difficult case, Sherlock Holmes: The Final Problem, adapted by Tal Aviezer from the novel by Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes must confront his arch nemesis, the malevolent Professor Moriarty, in his most electrifying adventure.

 

Important Information: The Theater Performances will take place in the Grand Picture Gallery of Lyndhurst Mansion. All tickets are $49, general admission for all performances and will be available online in August at LYNDHURST.ORG. There is no late seating, all attendees must check in at the Welcome Center at least 15 minutes before the show start time. There are 25 steps up to the Grand Picture Gallery, it is not handicapped accessible. Parking is free.

 

For Lyndhurst After Dark, tickets are $45-50 and take place throughout the decorated mansion.
