LYNDHURST AFTER DARK – Victorian Mourning Traditions and the Darker Side of the Gilded Age

 

OCTOBER 19th – 30th

 

Come and experience the history of Lyndhurst Mansion and explore Victorian mourning traditions, and learn about the darker side of the Gilded Age in the glow of an October evening; Lyndhurst After Dark! Timed entry into the Mansion allows visitors to experience the house as it is decorated in the spirit of the season, with special collections and items on display relating to the superstitions of the age.

 

NEW FOR 2023: Lyndhurst After Dark will now venture down into the mansion kitchen, please note that guests will have to traverse narrow stairwells. This is not handicapped accessible. Not suitable for children under 10 years of age. All children attending are required to have a ticket. Children aged 2 and under will not be admitted.

Lyndhurst After Dark features the acting talents of Kathy Colonna, Philip Garfinkel, Kate Gleeson, Donna James, Elizabeth Mialaret, Kathleen Muldoon, Anne Rodgers Pearl, Jim Petrillo, Laura Petrillo, Emmy Schwartz, Richard Troiano, Howard Weintraub and Nan Weiss.

 

Lyndhurst, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is a Gothic Revival masterpiece on the banks of the Hudson River in Tarrytown, NY at 635 South Broadway (Route 9).
