Harpist Lisa Tannebaum in Concert

Acclaimed harpist Lisa Tannebaum in concert. Performing pieces from all genres of classical music including Granados’ Spanish Dances originally written for piano, and recently transcribed for harp by Lisa Tannebaum.

Hailed for her “expressive musicality and creativity” by The New York Times, Lisa Tannebaum has performed solo, chamber and orchestral repertoire at major venues and festivals throughout Europe and the United States. Ms. Tanenbaum’s dazzling performance at Carnegie Hall celebrated the release of her CD, ”My Harp, My Heart”. Reviews of her playing have circulated glowingly in the public press. The New York Concert Review stated “grace and a mastery of dynamic variation”. A recent review from the Harp Column Magazine describes Ms. Tannebaum’s playing as “Pitch Perfect… Her sound is full of color and brilliance but never harsh, taking charge at just the right moments.” She collaborates regularly with up and coming  composer, Andrew Seligson. Ms. Tannebaum is currently on the faculty of the Cap Ferret Music Festival, where she concertizes, teaches and gives workshops every summer. Currently, Ms. Tannebaum is the president of “Music In The Woods”, a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities for students, and musical enrichment for the community. She performs the Concierge Concert Series, an innovative project redefining what the concert experience feels like.

About Pound Ridge Library

Opened in 1952, the Pound Ridge Library now has a collection of over 50,000 items, including books, magazines, DVDs, music CDs, and CD audiobooks. The library’s collection is broad and diverse but is particularly strong in the arts, biographies, mysteries, and cookbooks. In addition, the library offers electronic database searching and Internet access for reference and research. As the town’s cultural center, the library offers activities such as art and craft exhibits, driver safety programs, films, concerts, lectures, and book discussion programs year-round. The library sponsors various children’s activities, including winter and spring vacation programs, story hours, holiday happenings, arts and crafts workshops, musical performances, and the annual Summer Reading Program. Pound Ridge Library is a member of the Westchester Library System (WLS), a cooperative of 38 independent public libraries in Westchester County. As a patron of our library, you can access to materials from any of the member libraries through WLS’s online public access catalog. Materials ordered from other WLS libraries can be picked up at the Pound Ridge Library. Patrons may also check out books and return materials at any WLS library.
