Croton Academy Summer Theatre presents StarKid’s FIREBRINGER!
CROTON ACADEMY SUMMER THEATRE PRESENTS STARKID’S FIREBRINGER
(For immediate release) Croton Academy Summer Theatre (CAST) will present StarKid’s musical comedy, “FIREBRINGER.” CAST is Croton Academy of Art’s summer theatre program for young people ages 12 to 20, and is in its second year.
The performances will be Friday, July 28 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, July 29 at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sunday, July 30 at 2:30 pm at the Croton Academy of Arts Theatre at 8 Old Post Road, South, Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
The show tells the story of a tribe of cave-people who survive the trials of prehistoric life under the wise leadership of Jemilla, The Peacemaker. But one member of the tribe doesn’t seem to fit in – Zazzalil. While out hatching her latest scheme, Zazzalil stumbles upon the most important discovery in history. She travels from omega to alpha and becomes…the FIREBRINGER!
“Our amazing cast captures the irreverent humor, energy, creativity and viral songs that the StarKid Team has become known for, starting back when they blew up the internet with ‘A Very Harry Potter Musical,’” says the show’s director Joe Riedel. “Prehistoric times will never be imagined as patriarchal again once you experience FIREBRINGER. I’d like to note that our version is family friendly.”
Cast members include: Anna Bogenschutz, Mimi Brown, Maya Cohen, Henry Decker, Jackson Decker, Isabelle DeLeon, Colleen Fitzmaurice, Anne Knudson, Chloe Koeler, Erin Mulliken, KJ Scafaria and Hudson Villeneuve.
