Kick Off the Summer at a TGIS Party June 13th

The New Rochelle Council on the Arts invites you to kick off the summer — and the Summer Sounds Concert Series — with a TGIS (Thank God It’s Summer) party at the Beechmont Tavern in New Rochelle on Thursday, June 13th from 6 to 9 pm. Admission costs $10 per person at the door, and includes one free drink plus a great menu of appetizers, live music, drink specials, raffles and give-aways, and fun.

The Beechmont Tavern, established in 1928, is one of New Rochelle’s most popular pubs, known for its wings and burgers. It is located at 750 North Avenue in New Rochelle.

The party proceeds will benefit NRCA’s popular Summer Sounds Concert Series at Hudson Park, which begins Wednesday, June 26th and runs through August 28th. In all there will be 15 live concerts (every Wednesday and five Fridays) plus a Sunday afternoon of Shakespeare in the park with the LawnChair Theatre Company’s production of Much Ado About Nothing. All of the events, which are organized by NRCA with New Rochelle’s Dept. of Parks and Recreation, are free, thanks to sponsorship by People’s United Bank, Webster Bank and Watermark Pointe.
