When two old flames run into each other on the evening commute, different views of the same past threaten to derail their connection.  A delightful new play about forgiving, forgetting, and the healing power of a good delay.

See this remarkable husband-and wife team, with Doug Ballard as the voice of the conductor.

Kurt Rhoads was seen with HSC in A DOLL’S HOUSE, PART 2,  LOVE SONG and he has a long career in regional and Off-Broadway theatre. He and wife, Nance Williamson, are much-beloved veterans of Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and OFF PEAK will mark their 68th play together. Nance most recently was seen in the movie THE HATING GAME, on TV in THE GOOD WIFE, and the triple crown of LAW AND ORDER.

Ms. Chayes is the winner of a Lucille Lortel Award and most recently directed the Off-Broadway hit, THE ANTELOPE PARTY. She and playwright Brenda Withers collaborated on the world premieres of Brenda’s plays THE LODGER and JORDAN, both at Northern Stage. Ms. Withers appeared with HSC in ALMOST, MAINE and OTHER DESERT CITIES, and wrote the one-act play from the digital 2021 season commissioned by HSC, THE PARROT TRAP.
