Free and Affordable Outdoor Concerts This Week: July 8-14

Editor’s Note: Music is in the air all summer long! Outdoor live music is just one check off the box of things to do in Westchester. This summer, free and affordable outdoor arts events are prevalent, and we at ArtsNews are dedicated as always to providing our readers with the comprehensive coverage of the arts news and events in our County.

July 8
Pelham Summer Concert Series: The Acchords
Presented by the Town of Pelham
The Acchords is a male vocal doo-wop group brings energy and harmony to the stage as they present their spin on classic and contemporary songs across multiple genres. 7:30pm at Gazebo Park.

July 8
Yonkers Waterfront Live: Upstate The Band
Presented by Yonkers Downtown
Upstate The Band brings a new sound of Roots & Rhythm in their performance with a mix of folk, rock, swing, jazz, R&B, and more. 6:30pm at Yonkers Waterfront Amphitheatre.

July 10
Rock the Block: Scott Tournet and the Spark
Presented by White Plains BID
This week features Scott Tournet and the Spark will take to the streets of White Plains. Tournet is a founding member of the award-winning Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and draws inspiration from roots, rock and pop music. Opening will be indie soul/funk jamband Smooch. This event also includes al-fresco dining aznd family-friendly activities like ping-pong and cornhole. 5:30pm on Mamaroneck Avenue (between Main St and Martine Ave).

July 10
Summer Fest Concerts: Willie Villegas Y Entre Amigos
Presented by Cross County Center
This performance features salsa music from the two-trombone led band Willie Villegas Y Entre Amigos. 6:30pm on the green in the center of Cross County Center.

NRCA Summer Sounds Series: Fairfield Counts Big Band
Presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts
This event features swing music from Fairfield Counts, a Big Band that plays classics from legendary musicians like Duke Ellington and Tito Puente to selections from The Great American Songbook and contemporary bands like Brian Setzer Orchestra. Food trucks Pizza Vitale and Poke Motion will also be on site at the concert. 7:30pm.

Lake Isle Country Club Concerts: FDR Drive Band
Presented by the Town of Eastchester
FDR Drive Band covers a wide range from the ‘60s to present from a wide range of genres, including classic rock, hip hop, Top 40 hits and more. 8pm.

Dobbs Ferry Music Summer Series: Débora Watts Brazilian Group
Presented by Jazz Forum Arts
This concert features Débora Watts Brazilian Group, led by a powerful vocalist who takes inspiration from Brazilian and Latin, and Armenian music. Watts has recorded with world-class musicians and toured globally. This series at Waterfront Park is preceded by Jitterbugs jam sessions, a jazz education program for young children. 6:30pm at Waterfront Park on the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry.

July 11
Sunset Jazz at Lyndhurst Concert Series: Craig Holiday Haynes Quartet
Presented by Jazz Forum Arts
This week’s concert features drummer Craig Holiday Haynes, son of drumming legend Roy Haynes, and his quartet. Haynes has continued his familial jazz tradition by working with renowned artists such as Sun Ra, Gladys Knight and Tony Bennett. 6:30pm on the lawn of Lyndhurst Mansion.

July 11
Summer Concert and Movie Series: Ricky Blues Band
Presented by The Town of Cortlandt
Ricky Blues Band is a captivating blend of classic blues, rock, and soul, featuring guitar solos and powerful vocals with the Hudson River as the backdrop. Following the band’s performance will be an outdoor movie screening of the family-friendly Trolls Band Together. 7pm at the Cortlandt Waterfront Park.

July 11
Summer Concerts at the Gazebo: Dave Matthews Tribute Band
Presented by Armonk Chamber of Commerce
This concert features The Dave Matthews Tribute Band, which faithfully recreates the sound and energy of the original Dave Matthews Band’s classic hits and deep cuts. 6pm at Wampus Brook Park in Armonk.

July 12
Robison Summer Concert Series: Shot Thru The Heart
Presented by Westchester County Parks
Shot Thru The Heart is a professional tribute band that pays homage to the music and showmanship of Bon Jovi. 7pm at Kensico Dam.

Jazz At Pierson Park, Tarrytown: Kenyatta Beasley Quintet
Presented by Jazz Forum Arts
In this performance along the Hudson River, trumpeter Kenyatta Beasley Quintet will pay tribute to Beasley’s mentor, saxophonist Frank Foster. Beasley has collaborated with prominent artists like Lauren Hill, Carlos Santana and Shakira. 6:30pm at Pierson Park in Tarrytown.

Lake Isle Country Club Concerts: McLean Avenue Band
Presented by the Town of Eastchester
The McLean Avenue Band is known for their high-energy performances, blending traditional Irish music with modern rock and pop influences. 8pm.

Afro Dominicano
Presented by Hudson River Museum
Latin fusion indie band Afro Dominicano blends traditional folkloric music from the Dominican Republic with Afrobeats and other Caribbean genres. Their performance includes everything from accordion and conga to güira, a percussion instrument from the Dominican Republic. At 8pm in Hudson River Museum’s outdoor amphitheater.

July 12
NRCA Summer Sounds Series: Mayor’s House & Drew Young Band
Presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts
This concert at the Hudson Park Bandshell features Americana and rock music from both Mayor’s House and Drew Young Band. 7:30pm.

Friday Nights in The Courtyard: Ray Blue
Presented by the Chappaqua Library
This series of Friday night concerts on the courtyard of Chappaqua Public Library continues with returning saxophonist Ray Blue, accompanied by organist Brad Whitley and drummer Diego Lopez. 7pm.

FLOW: A Circus Production by Miss Molly Dazzle
Presented by Hudson River Museum
Circus performer Miss Molly Dazzle’s high-energy show includes stilt walking, juggling, aerial arts and more. The interactive performance tells the story of two friends searching for a greater connection to the natural world. At 8pm in Hudson River Museum’s outdoor amphitheater.

July 14
Yorktown Heights Summer Concert Series: Don Jovi
Presented by the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department and the Yorktown Lions Club
Don Jovi brings the energy of Bon Jovi’s music to the stage at Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Track & Field. At 6pm.
