Craft Fair at Lyndhurst Showcases 300 Contemporary Artists

Art lovers and families will be invited to attend the annual Crafts at Lyndhurst festival, a weekend packed with art and shopping experiences on May 5-7, just in time for Mother’s Day. The festival will celebrate all-things-handmade by showcasing 300 contemporary artists, designers and craftspeople. Guests will meet the emerging and seasoned artists and be able to purchase their innovative creations. Works on display will include earrings made of stingray, contemporary wood furniture, handbags made from antique books, necklaces created from meteorites and more.

The family-friendly event also offers creative activities and interactive art experiences, such as Shibumi silk scarf-making workshops, hands-on craft demonstrations and gourmet food tastings. Children can enjoy a variety of activities, including caricatures, interactive puppet theater, face painting and stilt walkers. The festival will be held on the sweeping grounds of the historic 19th century estate, which overlooks the Hudson River, with live music to add to the serene environment. Guests can make a full day of their excursion by attending a discounted mansion tour. For more info, visit lyndhurst.org.
