Pride Month in Westchester 2025

Pride Month in Westchester County bursts to life with parades, performances and conversations throughout June 2025, when the LGBTQ+ community celebrate across the county, from art fairs and film series to major exhibitions and family fun. Here’s a handy guide to some of Westchester’s Pride Month celebrations:

May 31
Tuckahoe NY Pride Celebration
Presented by Tuckahoe NY Pride
Tuckahoe Community Center kicks off its Pride Month with a community celebration that features five evening performances followed by an afterparty at Mazzys Bar in Mount Vernon. ArtsWestchester’s ArtsMobile will also be on hand offering arts activities for all ages during the event.

May 31
Rye Town Park Pride Celebration
Presented by pRYEd Community
Rye Town Park is celebrating five years of “pRYEd” with an event that features music, art, a Pride flag-raising ceremony, a parade along the Playland Boardwalk, and an after-party on the beach with a live DJ and food. The day also features a Pride Fair & Art Fair curated by Rye Arts Center.

June 1
Opening Reception – Legendary Looks: The Art of Effects Design in House Ballroom
Presented by ArtsWestchester
The opening reception of ArtsWestchester’s “Legendary Looks” exhibition features a meet and great with curators and exhibiting artists and live music by one of Ballroom’s most influential DJs, Byrell The Great. Guests can also browse the groundbreaking multimedia exhibition, which showcases effects and costume design in the LGBTQ+ House Ballroom community. The show includes sixteen looks that were created by some of ballroom’s top designers, stylists and walkers, as well as iconic illustrations, flyers, photos and video. The exhibition is on view through July 20.

June 1
Westchester Pride: UNBREAKABLE – Protecting Our Pride
Presented by The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center
Visitors can expect a big crowd at this day-long event in Downtown White Plains, probably the largest Pride Month in Westchester celebration of them all. This free, family-friendly event features main stage performances (including drag and live music), family and youth zones, a community resource fair, local vendors, food trucks, a solidarity march and wellness resources.

June 1
The Royal Haus of Maison-Margiela and the Iconic House of Miyake-Mugler
Presented by ArtsWestchester
A program with Icon Hall of Famer Founder Michael Roberson Maison-Margiela in ArtsWestchester’s gallery explores the history of Ballroom as a freedom movement and spiritual formation in responses to race, class, sexuality and gender oppression. The program is followed by an original performance by Iconic House of Miyake-Mugler on the Westchester Pride stage.

June 1
Westchester County LGBTQ+ Pride Flag Raising
Presented by Westchester County
Pride Month in Westchester kicks off with government support. County Executive Kenneth Jenkins, the Westchester County Board of Legislators, and the LGBTQ+ Advisory Board will present the official raising of the Pride flag at 11:30am in downtown White Plains, starting the Westchester Pride celebration.

June 6-8 & 13-15
The Laramie Project
Presented by Studio Theater in Exile
Studio Theater in Exile presents Moises Kaufman’s The Laramie Project, a play that uses real transcripts from interviews following the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, WY. The tragedy captured the attention of the nation as an anti-gay hate crime. The performance is produced in partnership with Peekskill Pride.

June 7
Ladies of Laug h ter
Presented by Emelin Theatre
Emelin Theatre will celebrate Pride Month in Westchester by bringing three female comedians to the stage. Poppy Champlin (2024 Ladies of Laughter Winner), Liz Glazer (2021 Winner), and Mina Hartong (Finalist) will come prepared with personal stories of being one’s true self.

June 12
Pride Parking Lot Party & Priscilla, Queen of the Desert Film Screening
Presented by Jacob Burns Film Center
Kick off the JBFC Pride series with a parking lot party, where guests will enjoy food trucks, a bar, live DJ and drag queens. Ticket price includes entry to a screening of the Oscar-winning queer classic The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in the JBFC Theater.

June 12-29
Pride: A Celebration of Queer Stories
Presented by Jacob Burns Film Center
This series of seven film screenings all focus on love, identity and resilience. The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert takes place in tandem with the center’s parking lot party (6/12). In God’s Own Country, a lonely English farmer begins to process feelings from an unexpected connection (6/15). A screening of The Miseducation of Cameron Post is followed by followed by LGBTQ+ Community Panel (6/23). The documentary Sabbath Queen features a Q&A with the film’s director (6/26). Tangerine celebrates its 10^th anniversary (6/29). Events for kids include the children’s film Pride as part of the New York International Children’s Film Festival and drag queen story time, both on June 29.

June 21
Roots of a Legacy
Presented by Studio Theater in Exile
An evening of readings will celebrate LGBTQ+ stories and history. These include “Fingerprints” (stories from our elders) and “The People’s Victory” (the fight for marriage equality). Performances will be by I.Den.t.T and Joann Prinizialli.

June 26
Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway Pride!
Presented by Caramoor in partnership with The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center
SiriusXM host Seth Rudetsky takes guests on a journey that features gay artists of Broadway. Rudetsky will host and play piano while Broadway songs are sung by Lauren Patten (Jagged Little Pill, Fun Home), Zachary Noah Piser (Redwood, Dear Evan Hansen) and Gay Willis (Phantom of the Opera, Showboat).
