Outdoor Movies in Westchester 2026

As summer begins, village parks and city centers open their outdoor spaces to movie screenings across Westchester. These free family-friendly screenings range from classics like Back to the Future to new releases like Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Here are more than 15 outdoor movies families can enjoy in Westchester through September.

Hamilton
July 3 (Peekskill)

Filmed at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York, this beloved Broadway musical was brought to the screen in 2020. This summer, it will come to the movie screen. The film follows Alexander Hamilton, the nation’s first Secretary of the Treasury, through a genre-blending score of hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway music. Movie begins at 7pm at Pugsley Park.

Ratatouille
July 10 (Peekskill)

Ratatouille (2007) features the culinary adventure of a unique rat, Remy. After discovering his refined palette, he navigates the busy kitchens and streets of Paris – places where rats are not welcome. He forms a secret alliance with human kitchen worker Linguini, who acts as the threshold into the culinary world. Movie begins at 7pm at Pugsley Park.

Lilo & Stitch (2025)
July 10 (Mamaroneck)

This live-action adaption of the 2002 Disney movie screens at Harbor Island Park with an accompanying tiki party. Set in Hawaii, Lilo & Stich follows a fugitive extraterrestrial being, Stich. A lonely girl adopts him after he poses as a dog in a shelter, and the two form a bond.  Screening and tiki party begin at dusk.

Zootopia
July 15 (Croton-on-Hudson)

Zootopia follows Judy Hopps, the first rabbit to be part of the police force in the mammal-filled city, when she gets put on a mysterious case with fox Nick Wilde. Screening at Senasqua Park at dusk.

National Treasure
July 24 (Peekskill)

Nicolas Cage plays Ben Gates, a historian searching for a legendary United States treasure hidden by the Founding Fathers before it falls into the hands of mercenaries. At Pugsley Park at dusk.

Jaws
July 25 (Mamaroneck)

A screening of the 1975 Steven Spielberg classic, Jaws follows the people of a small coastal town in New England as they deal with a Great White shark that has threatened their beaches and tourist population. Movie begins at dusk on the beach at Harbor Island Park.

The LEGO Movie
July 30 (Yonkers)

Ridge Hill’s outdoor movie series screens The LEGO Movie (2014), following Emmet, an ordinary construction worker who discovers the Piece of Resistance and is swept into an adventure to stop Lord Business’s evil plans. The movie begins at 8pm, with pre-movie activities starting at 7pm.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
July 31 (Peekskill)
September 12 (Mamaroneck)

Two screenings of the animated sequel to the Super Mario Bros. Movie will take place this summer. Based on the Nintendo video game, this sequel has Mario exploring the many different worlds of outer space. At Pugsley Park in Peekskill at 7:30pm and Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck at dusk.

Back to the Future
August 7 (Peekskill)

The City of Peekskill ends its summer movie series with the 1985 Robert Zemeckis sci-fi classic Back to the Future. The film follows California teen Marty McFly after an experiment accidentally sends him back to the 1950s, where he must make sure his parents fall in love so he can return to the future. The screening takes place at 7:30pm at Pugsley Park.

Zootopia 2
August 8 (Valhalla)

Zootopia 2 follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they get caught up in another mystery, this time revolving around newcomer Gary De’Snake. The two explore even more of Zootropolis and the complexity of their working partnership. Part of the White Plains Hospital Screenings Under the Stars series at Kensico Dam Plaza at sundown.

Hoppers
August 8 (Mamaroneck)

Hoppers, a new 2026 release, features animal lover Mabel, who attempts to discover the secrets of the animal world using recent scientific technology that allows humans to transfer their consciousness into robotic animals. Movie begins at Harbor Idland Park at dusk.

Bad Guys 2
August 28 (Valhalla)

This animated sequel based on the popular book series follows newly reformed animal criminals as they get pulled into another heist by a new group, the Bad Girls. This screening is at Kensico Dam Plaza at sundown.

The Addams Family 2
September 18 (Croton-on-Hudson)

When he feels his family is drifting away, Gomez Addams attempts to bring them back together by planning a strange vacation. This animated sequel screens at Senasqua Park beginning at dusk.
