From the Curator: Reflections of ArtsWestchester’s First Triennial

Triennial exhibitions make a very big difference for all involved, for at least two reasons.  First and foremost, they point to the very place that chooses to invest in such a large-scale event, with passion, energy and resources – a place for all the citizens who have chosen to live there and contribute to it, including the humming contingent of artists deserving of one more stage.

Spanish Culture Comes Alive at Westchester Community College

On September 22, Smart Arts at Westchester Community College presents Ensemble Español, a Spanish dance theater that preserves the traditions of Spanish culture by depicting its people, customs, literature and music through lively performances. The company, comprised of singers, dancers and musicians, tells the story of this culture through flamenco, classical and folkloric dance styles.
