“At ArtsWestchester, when we talk about ‘Serious Fun,’ we mean art that tickles you; art that challenges you; and especially art that is in your face,” says CEO Janet T. Langsam. “Surprise! It’s public art right there on the street. What fun!” The Serious Fun Arts Fest will be bringing exciting new public art as well as live performances to the streets of White Plains this October.

Just announced! The festival headliner will be Brooklyn’s fast-emerging Sammy Rae & The Friends who will deliver a high-energy, spirited and unrestrained show with all-for-one and one-for-all camaraderie, palpable chemistry, deft virtuosity and vocal fireworks for concert-goers. Complete with rhythm and horn sections, keyboards and two backup singers, their sound is a mélange of Sammy’s influences rooted in classic rock, folk and funk, sprinkled with soul and jazz. The band has sold-out shows in the Northeast and beyond, including Terminal 5 in NYC, two consecutive nights at the Boston Royal, 9:30 Club in DC, Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, The Showbox in Seattle, the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, and many more. NPR Music, the Boston Globe and American Songwriter alike have dubbed her an artist to watch is 2022. Click the link below for Early bird tickets, $20 each now through July 31, 2022 at 11:59pm!
