

Funding Opportunity for Arts Organizations
in Westchester and Rockland Counties

Thanks to the support of the New York State Legislature’s Westchester and Rockland delegations, ArtsWestchester is pleased to offer the new ReStart the Arts initiative. This funding opportunity is designed to help arts and cultural organizations bring back to their organizations artists and creative workers, who fuel the cultural economy.
The Opportunity: ReStart the Arts is a new opportunity for eligible organizations to apply for funding for a discrete project that requires engaging an artist or creative professional. Providing employment to artists and creative professionals is a central priority of the intiative.

Eligibility
Organizations must meet all of the following criteria:
- Operating budget revenue of at least $50,000 in FY2021.
- In operation and offering public programs since at least 2019, with a primary focus on arts and culture programming.
- Previously funded in at least two of the last three years (2019, 2020, 2021) by ArtsWestchester in any one of the following categories (Basic Program Support, Project Support, Yonkers Arts Initiative, Mount Vernon Arts Initiative, and Arts Alive) or by Rockland County government (Tourism or County Executive’s office)


Applicants are encouraged to apply early to reduce risk of technical difficulties. Incomplete, late, hand-delivered, mailed or emailed submissions will NOT be accepted for any reason.
