Artist Statement

I have been an artist since I was a child; I took music lessons in classical piano.  However, my formal education took precedence.  However, I continued to draw in my 20's and 30's.  During high school and undergrad, I was in choirs for singers and bell choirs. I played with The Riverside Handbell Choir from 1983-1987.  In my 20's, I sang with the Pleasantville Cantata singers.   I volunteered at the Wartburg from 2010-2011 playing for the seniors.  My repertoire included classical, broadway standards, jazz, and hymns.  In the midstream of my life, I am returning to art work on a higher level.  I exhibited with the White Plains Outdoor Arts Festival as an emerging artist.  I'm looking forward to continuing with my learning process and to growing to my full potential over time.  My works are in ebony, oil pastels, and acrylics.  My subjects are nudes, erotic art, portraits, abstract and mystical visions.  My poetry deals with a variety of different themes.
