Henry Spitz is a welder/sculptor. He creates figures as well as furniture - large and small. The materials he uses are vintage and antique found objects: metal, wood, leather, fabric, rubber, paper and stone. He brings history to the present in a newly recognizable way.
Henry's orientation is to repurpose and recreate. He is often inspired by a single shape or color which morphs into a unique piece of work expressing his personal narrative. His pieces of sculpture combine mystery and humor.
Self educated with some help along the way.Â
