Modern Masters presented by the Taghkanic Chorale
Experience the power and beauty of twentieth century choral masterpieces. Featured works will be Maurice Durufle’s Requiem, a stunning blend of Gregorian chant and impressionist harmony, alongside Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice In The Lamb, a quirky and deeply moving setting of Christopher Smart’s visionary poetry. Complementing these, are shorter works of prominent American composer’s Gwyneth Walker, Elaine Hagenberg, and Robert Cohen.
Join us for an afternoon of transcendent music that showcases the depth and innovation of modern choral artistry.
