Peekskill, NY, August 26, 2023. The SUNY Westchester Peekskill Center for the Digital Arts Gallery is presenting the work of faculty and staff on view from September 11 through November 27, 2023. The opening reception, which is open to the public, will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The Faculty & Staff exhibition is a group show dedicated to the work and efforts of the people who make the arts at the Center for the Digital Arts possible. The gallery will showcase the faculty who teach the courses in the Art & Design A.A.S., ITECH A.A.S., non-credit workforce development certificates, and the Youth Arts Technology program.  All of the Center for the Digital Arts staff are practicing artists that train heavily in arts technology, and several also teach at the Center. The exhibition is a great reflection of the talent behind the curriculum and educational experience at the center as it turns 30 years old.

“These artists, faculty, and staff met the pandemic as a challenge with their creativity, which led to a lot of innovation in program development and new teaching methodologies”, said Dr. Sherry Mayo, Director of SUNY Westchester Peekskill. “It will be exciting to see what their work looks like now after the pandemic and all that we have learned together.”

In the spring of 2024 SUNY Westchester Peekskill will be hosting its 30th Anniversary Students Exhibition as a follow up to this Faculty & Staff Exhibition.
