Axial Theatre Presents Pulitzer-Prize Winning August: Osage County May 2019 showcase features an ensemble cast in a compelling production
Pleasantville, NY – Axial Theatre, celebrating its 20th anniversary year, will feature an ensemble cast in a compelling new production of Tracy Letts’ prize-winning play, August: Osage County running May 3 through May 19, 2019. Axial’s co-artistic director, Catherine (Cat) Banks will direct.
The play, which the New York Times’ Charles Isherwood called “The most exciting new American play Broadway has seen in years,” is, as the reviewer notes, the “saga of an Oklahoma clan in a state of near-apocalyptic meltdown.”
Performances of Axial Theatre’s August: Osage County are Fridays, May 3, 10 & 17 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, May 4, 11, & 18 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays May 5, 12 & 19, at 4 p.m. on the campus of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 8 Sunnyside Ave., Pleasantville, New York 10570.
