Hoff-Barthelson Music School Names Next Executive Director

Hoff-Barthelson Music School (HBMS) recently announced the appointment of Gabriella Sanna as its next Executive Director. Sanna will begin in the role at the start of 2024 following the retirement of the school’s current director, Ken Cole.  Sanna joins HBMS from her position as Director of The Rivers School Conservatory (RSC) and Co-Chair of The Rivers School’s Performing Arts Department.

Other previous experience includes time as RSC’s Chamber Music Department Chair, Registrar for the Conservatory and work as a private piano instructor, among other professional achievements. In addition, she is an active performer in solo piano recitals, chamber music performances and participates in collaborative piano work with vocal and instrumental groups in the Boston area and throughout Italy.

Says Sanna: “I am dedicated to building upon the school’s strong foundation and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to explore their musical potential in a nurturing and supportive environment. Together, we will cultivate a vibrant musical community that resonates with creativity and excellence.”

Hoff-Barthelson is a community music school that serves students of all ages, aptitudes and levels of interest with professional faculty that excel in their areas of expertise.
