ArtsWestchester Awards $1+ Million in Arts Access Grants to 81 Organizations
Across nearly every Westchester County Legislative District, arts and cultural organizations are receiving new support to continue serving their communities and expanding access to creative experiences.
ArtsWestchester has announced that 81 organizations will receive 2026–2027 Arts Access Support for Organizations grants, totaling $1.025 million. The funding was made possible through the support of Westchester County and the County Board of Legislators.
Among the organizations approved for funding, 13 are receiving County arts funding for the first time, highlighting the continued growth and increasing diversity of Westchester County’s cultural sector.
ArtsWestchester CEO Kathleen Reckling said the program reflects the organization’s role as a funder and partner in the County’s cultural community: “The Arts Access Grant Program reflects our commitment to strengthening ArtsWestchester’s role as a vital funder and partner in the county’s cultural ecosystem by supporting dynamic arts organizations and expanding meaningful access to the arts. We thank our partners in Westchester County and the County Board of Legislators, and congratulate this year’s grantees.”
Recipients represent nearly every legislative district, demonstrating the broad reach of the Arts Access program and the impact of investments that expand access to arts and cultural opportunities throughout the County.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins emphasized the importance of arts and cultural organizations to the community: “Westchester County’s arts and cultural organizations help define who we are as a community and are essential to our quality of life. These grants help ensure that organizations across the County can continue inspiring, educating and offering vibrant cultural experiences that do more than enrich our communities – they also support local jobs, attract visitors and strengthen our economy.”
He also highlighted the County’s partnership with ArtsWestchester and the inclusion of organizations receiving County funding for the first time: “We are proud to partner with ArtsWestchester in support of these organizations, including many receiving County funding for the very first time – furthering our commitment to expanding opportunity and making the arts accessible to even more residents.”
