My Women Series
One of the genres I work in is my life size oil paintings of women. They do not confront: they entice. The viewer is drawn in wondering: what they are thinking , what they are feeling.
Animals, primarily dogs are an important part of my life.
I have tried to “forget” my formal training. As a result my work has simplified yet at the same time become more specific.
“Some miseries must be endured alone. Some wonderment can only be experienced alone. A joy shared can be greater; a puzzlement or a misery shared is also greater. For many women, the embodiment of true constancy is the dog, who sits and watches and loves. “
